At Shire, we grow and distribute the healthiest food in Canada.
Shire was founded in 2021 and now owns over 13 fruit farms across Canada, expanding into new properties and crops every year. Shire Farms is the retail arm of Shire, founded in 2026 to bring the healthiest foods directly to customers.
Shire Farms raise a $1M+ seed round in August and a subsequent Series A to make this possible.
Our thesis is simple, people always have to eat, and every year there are more people. As incomes and education rise so too will the demand for healthy food.
The Opportunity
We’re building a food distribution and retail business from scratch.
That means going from zero to best-in-class at content, paid media, product development and logistics.
Right now, customer acquisition is the priority.
We’re selling freeze-dried organic blueberries, honey, and beef jerky from our farms both D2C via shopify and B2B for client gifts, office snacks, diet plans (Toronto Blue Jays and the Montreal Canadiens).
30 Days: Scaling to $200k MRR with our existing products.
90 Days: Group trip to Costa Rica. Make content and scout out farms to provide the healthiest foods in the world all year round.
180 Days: Freeze-drying is one of our biggest input costs. How do we make this more efficient before next harvest?
